Where oh Where does the time go?
How does it happen, so days seem to drag on but the years fly by. I will have a 2 year old on Monday. We had his party this past weekend and it was a blast. The party was at my parents house (Ollie's favorite place to be) he loves his grandparents but the backyard is why it is his favorite place to be. It is like Disneyland back there.
We had family and friends come for a Zoo themed party. I think Ollie had a great time, I know I did. Thanks everyone who came who made it a very special day!

Jeff is home from India
I am so glad my sweet husband is home from India. He seemed to have an amazing time. You can hop over to his blog and read more about it. http://moodythinking.com/
Every time he travels it reminds me more of how much he means to me and Ollie. Ollie and I are so blessed to have Jeff as our provider, leader, husband, father, and BEST FRIEND! Most of all we are thankful that he loves Jesus, and teaches us to do the same things. Thanks Jeff for coming home to us!

Prayer for my Daddy!
Just got news that my dad has a very low grade of prostate cancer. He and his urologist are confident that it is contained and can be removed and taken care of by surgery. He is, in precaution, having a bone scan done to rule out the tumor having spread to bone. A biopsy was just done and Friday and he and my mom went today to get the results. Apparently this issue is very common. They quoted a “1 in 6 men have this” stat to me when they called with the news. I haven’t yet been able to make sense of it, having only gotten the news literally minutes ago. All I know to do is go to the Lord with this and I wanted to ask you to do the same. We are a family of great faith in an awesome, powerful God, and my dad is an incredibly godly man. My dad and the rest of our family are just trusting in the ultimate Healer to see him through all of this. Your prayers are greatly appreciated and I will keep you updated.

Pratt and the Zoo
Laurie, Pratt, and Newton came for a visit in September. I know I haven't updated in a LONG time!! Ollie and Pratt are really starting to play together now instead of playing in the same space. It is really sweet.
We went to the Zoo and Friday and they boys loved it. Here are some pictures from the week they were here. I am ready for them to come back! They will be here for Thanksgiving and we are going up the week after Christmas.

lake Day
A few friends of ours went to the lake on Labor Day. Ollie has a wonderful time in the water, riding the jet ski, and the boat. Here are some pictures.
More than 2 weeks for crazyness
I said on my last post over a month ago that we were doing a lot in the next two weeks. Those two weeks ending up being over a month.
My Sister had Newton! Whom I love so much, people always say when you have kids you don't feel the same about your nieces and nephews. I say that isn't true. I love this little boy like he is mine!!!
When I got home from Laurie's I had my surgery. It was very successful. They found endo, polyps, and an endo cyst. They cleaned me out so hopefully we will be able to announce that we are having another little one soon. That is our pray.
This week Ollie has a fever virus, Jeff has a sinus infection, and I have an allergic reaction to something (dr has no clue) from my surgery. My incisions are infected and I have a rash all over my stomach. Seriously the Dr and Nurse said they have NEVER seen anything like this. Only me right? Oh well. Thankfully we believe in the true Healer of all things, and I believe He will heal me of this infection.

Next 2 weeks
Hey all you 3 people who ready my blog. I wanted to ask for your prayers for the next 2 weeks. I leave in the morning to fly to see my sister and NEWTON!!! till Monday. Please pray for safe travels as well as the fact that I am not taking Ollie and will miss him ALOT. I will be home Monday and 10th and on the 14th I will be having a laparoscopy which is an out patient surgery where they hope to fix a blocked tube in my ovaries. It shouldn't be a big deal but me and surgery/doctors haven't been best friends this past year so I pray it will be a quick recovery. Please be thinking about Jeff, Ollie and I during this time.

Montgomery can Change!!!
If you are familiar with Montgomery at all you know we have HUGE racial issues. There is a LARGE number of white families moving to the suburbs of Montgomery or as far East in Montgomery as you can get to get away from "bad neighborhoods" and bad school systems.
We at Gateway Baptist church have been praying far a long time about a change to happen in Montgomery and in the hearts of the people in this city. About a year ago our youth group came home from a mission trip where they worked in the innercity. They decided they shouldn't just travel to a different place to make a difference they should do it where they are. So last fall they started a kids club at church on Sunday night and invited the neighborhood kids that are right behind Gateway. That ministry has touched so many lives in our community and our church. We have seen young men come to Christ and be baptized into the family of believers. We have also seen a predominately white church grow into a multicultural church.
This change in our church has taught me so much about my own prejudices that I didn't really know I had, and the Lord is breaking me of them. Thank you Jesus for changing my heart.
All this to say that I was at another blog today and I saw this link. I don't know a lot about this ministry but I do know that this family moved to live in the Washington Ferry area to make a difference for the Kingdom. They didn't run like so many people in Montgomery have. Please check this link out and, if you can, donate $3. I mean really what is $3, a coke and a candy bar or a morning coffee? Please help this family make a difference.

Fun with Anna
A few weeks ago when Jeff was out of town, Ollie and I went to B'ham to see Abby and Anna. Abby has a pass to the Zoo so we took the kids. The Birmingham Zoo has a splash pad and the little ones played before we walked around the Zoo. Here are so pictures of Anna and Ollie playing in the water.
Can you tell Abby and I don't want our kids to get ANY sun!
This is Ollie and the East Y in Montgomery they have an awesome kiddie pool and He loves going.
s
Hope everyone is doing well. Summer is coming to and end which at my house is a good think b/c it means Jeff will not have to travel as much. We sure do miss our dad when he is gone.
Please Pray for my sister tomorrow. She will be having a C-section in the morning. I can't wait to meet little Newton. I will have to though. I am going up Aug. 5th thur the 10th. I am really sad I will not be there for the birth but happy to have quality time with Laurie, Pratt, and Newton in August.
Also Happy Party day to Pratt!!! He is having is 2nd Birthday Party today! His birthday is Saturday. I love you PMan.

Reason's I love my husband
1. He loves Jesus and always reminds me too!
2. He loves our child and wants more with me.
3. He washes the dishes every night even when he cooks.
4. He baths Ollie every night he is at home.
5. He works hard so I can stay at home and raise Ollie.
6. He has really corny jokes but that make me laugh.
7. He is very passionate about many things.
8. He always looks at me from across a crowded room and smiles.
9. He calls me during the day just to say I love you.
10. He loves me even when I am crabby, (like today)

Class of 99 10 year reunion
I can't believe I have been out of high school for 10 years. We had our class reunion this Saturday at RTJ in Prattville! I had a wonderful time seeing people I haven't seen in a really long time. I didn't do a great job at taking pictures but I do have a few.
I love my life right now, but I do miss the simple life I had as a high school student. Of course at the time I didn't think it was all that simple.
Here is a pictures of a lot of us from FBC prattville
I love this girl so much, this is my friend Denise. She was one of my best friends my senior year. We don't see or talk to each other often but every time we do I remember how much I love her!!! And miss her sweet friendship.
And as always the "Fab 4" we are still the best of friends more like sisters!
